2nd ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE
ECONOMIC & BUSINESS REVIEW

Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana, is proud to host the 2nd Annual Conference of the Economic & Business Review (EBR).
For the past decades, the EBR has published high quality theoretical, empirical, applied or policy-oriented research papers on various fields in economics and business. It is our aim to promote research in the fields covered by the journal and to provide a regional forum for academic discussion of research results.
We cordially invite researchers, irrespective of their institutional or geographical affiliation, to submit theoretical, empirical, applied, or policy-oriented research papers on any field in economics and business to our conference. Special attention this year will be paid to the trade-off between fiscal consolidation and growth promotion efforts in the Euro area and its implications for the countries in the region.
Conference Format: The Conference will span over two days. The programme will include plenary session each day devoted to the main issues of the 2nd annual conference and will continue with presentations of selected papers divided into parallel sessions by the field of specialization. Each session will consist of 3 papers, with 30 minutes devoted to presentation, discussant remarks, and open discussion.
EBR Special issue: EBR will publish 6 selected papers from the conference in a special issue devoted to the EBR Annual Conference. Authors of other papers presented at the conference are cordially invited to submit a paper to the regular issues of the Economic & Business Review.
- Deadline for extended abstracts: 18 June 2012.
- Authors of selected papers will be notified about selection by 30 June 2012.
- Deadline for final papers: 15 September 2012.
- Notification of papers acceptance: 15 October 2012.
- Conference programme will be available by 30 October 2012.
Special invitation to graduate students: We have a special competition for graduate student participants. The best student paper will be announced at the conference and will be given a chance to be published in the EBR Special issue.
