Programme

Intensive and time-efficient program consists of two modules, each module lasts for two days.

1st module: Planning the improvement of business processes (carried out by Vlerick Business School, Belgium)

14th and 15th June 2013, at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business

  • The overview of approaches for improving business processes: business process management, constant improvement of business processes, business process reengineering, 6 Sigma, Lean.
  • Methods for business process identification, discovery and modelling existing processes (AS-IS) and making the proposals for improvement (TO-BE).
  • Change management.
  • Workshop: group hands-on work on case Tailor.it: modelling and analysis of current business processes, finding inefficiencies in existing business model, proposing improvement and discussion.

2nd module: Implementing the improvement of business processes (carried out by the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business)

19th and 20th June 2013, at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business

  • Challenges and CSFs of business process change in practice with case studies from local organisations.
  • Hands–on workshop: Modelling and analysing business processes with iGrafx Process tool and BPMN notation, simulation.
  • Process automation through ERP systems and BPM Suites.
  • Implementing process organization, process ownership and the role of BPM office.
  • Measuring business processes: developing system of key performance indicators (KPIs) for processes and using business intelligence (BI) tools.
