FELU is both a national leader and an internationally recognized education and research institution in the area of business and economics. By gaining the EQUIS and AACSB accreditations, it has been ranked among the world’s most distinguished business schools. The FELU’s aim is to become even better internationally recognized for its quality and achievements in education and research. English tracks have been introduced in all three Bologna cycles, and foreign students can attend numerous courses in the English language, or enrol in one of the international programs

In its strategy, the FELU has positioned itself as a centre of excellence in South-east Europe. As such, it acts as a bridge between the east and the west, building on its ability to source knowledge globally and to transfer it to the SE European region and vice versa.

Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka

Faculty of Economics, University of Banja Luka, is a higher education institution whose main activity is scientific teaching and scientific research. Faculty of Economic in Banja Luka was established on 6th February 1975 according to the Decision of the Municipal Assembly of Banja Luka no. 01-012/75. The Faculty evolved from the Department of the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo, which began its operations on 1st November 1974.

The objectives of the Faculty are:

  • Provision of personnel and material conditions that will enable the realization of the main objective.
  • Continuous performance of a modern teaching process, harmonized with the requirements of the industry and in accordance with all provisions of the Bologna process.
  • Introduction of the European quality standards for the studies of I, II and III cycle.

Despite the fact that we are not in the group of the oldest institutions of higher education of the University of Banja Luka, one can say that we are among the most organized, best equipped and responsible member of the University in carrying out functions in accordance with the Law on Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska.

The Faculty is open for cooperation with European and American faculties of the same specialization. Most of our professors and assistants spent their time on either longer or shorter study researches at some of the world’s universities. A number of our students are also involved in the implementation of international projects. The Faculty is involved in the international TEMPUS project, from which it comes out enriched with contemporary experiences in the organization of educational process, donated with new teaching equipment, with new findings about trends in specific areas of economic theory and practice. A new organization of the Institute was adopted, which from an organizational unit of the Faculty became a legal entity, under the name Institute of Economic Science.

Faculty of Economics, 'Džemal Bijedić' University of Mostar

Faculty of Economics was founded in 1976. It was first established in 1971 as a Department of Sarajevo Faculty of Economics and then later as a separate legal entity. In February of 2011 the Faculty started working in the new building that was financed partially from its own funds.

In academic 2008/2009 year the Faculty enrolled the first generation of students that would study under new curricula, which was adjusted for Bologna principles. The Faculty offers its students Undergraduate, Graduate studies that are held in their own organization and in cooperation with School of Economics and Busines, University of Sarajevo, and also Doctoral studies.

Faculty of Economics had organized a number of scientific forums and public lectures. From year 2001 the Faculty publishes Collected works of its teaching staff and associates twice a year. They are also actively involved in international cooperation especially through TEMPUS projects.

Undergraduate studies (four years program) are organized in two lines. First is Academic line that offers four fields of specialization: Entrepreneurship and Management, Finance and Accounting, International Economy and Business Informatics. Second line is Applied Bussiness School, which also offers four different fields of specialization: Business Studies, Management of SMEs, Bank and Financial Management, Accounting and Auditing.

The Faculty also as its organizational units has the Institute for Economic Research, Center for Life-Long Learning and Center for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. Institute for Economic Research deals with different studies and research projects, producing programs or expert opinions, consultant activities. Center for life-long learning: offers staff at companies opportunities to upgrade their skills. Center for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises offers expert help with organizing and management of SMEs.

Faculty of Economics Podgorica University of Montenegro

The Faculty of Economics in Podgorica is the oldest faculty in Montenegro, with the tradition longer than forty-five years. The Faculty was founded in 1960. More than 7,000 students have graduated at the Faculty of Economics since it was founded, more than 400 of them achieved the title of MSc, and more than fifty – the title of PhD.

Today, the Faculty is a modern institution with multi-level and complex structure, which permanently improves its educational, personnel and material basis. The Faculty, on the bases of modern science, schools personnel with university and postgraduate education from economic sciences.

The Faculty of Economics has 2200 students and more than sixty full-time employed professors, assistants and assistant teacher trainees, out of which 29 of them are with academic degree of PhD, and 20 with academic degree MSc. In the function of visiting professors, the Faculty permanentrly engages a great number of lecturers, both from the university in our country and from abroad.

Since academic 2003/2004 year, the existing concept of undergraduate studying was reformed and adapted in compliance with the principles of the Bologna declaration. Applying the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) provided students better conditions for studying and mobility within the European academic space.

The Faculty of Economics possesses a multi decade experience in organizing the Post graduate studies. The first post graduate studies started in 1970, and in 1992 they were transformed into a model «Entrepreneural economics», which represented a reply to more and more existing demands of Montenegrin economy and society for specialised staff in the field of modern economics. Since 2005. The Faculty of Economics, accepting the Bologna declaration, changed its postgraduated studies in concordance with European standards and demands.
