Aims of the course

Course addresses the fundamentals of Corporate finance / financial management.

Course syllabus

The role of corporate finance, the goal of the firm, stakeholders.Time value of money.
Valuation of stocks and bonds. Risk and return, Cost of capital. Capital budgeting: cash flow estimation, discount rates, and risk. Long-term financing decisions: common stock, long-term debt, lease and preferred stock. Capital structure and payout policy. Working capital: working capital policy and financing, cash cycle, cash and marketable securities, inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, short-term financing.
