The principles of general insurance, product types, data requirements and verification, Pricing bases for general insurance contracts, tariff systems, methods of determining the value of the insurance liabilities of a general
business insurer and the value of the assets, in terms of emerging costs and in terms of discounted values, claim reserving, modelling the uncertainty in claim frequency and amount, methods of analysing the experience of a general business insurer for the purposes of determining pricing and valuation assumptions and identifying the main sources of profit and loss. Principles of investment for general business insurers’ assets, principles of regulation and accounting for general insurance, risk and uncertainty in general insurance business, principles of risk management including reinsurance.
