Theory of Corporate Finance

Aims of the course

The course aims to familiarise the students with contemporary knowledge on theory of corporate finance and investment decisions.

Course syllabus

1. This course will provide students with the knowledge about some of the most important issues form the corporate finance theory, such as: capital structure, sources of funding, capital budgeting, dividend policy, mergers and acquisitions, and some organizational aspects (i.e. diversified companies versus non-diversified).
2. Empirical findings will provide additional insights into the validity of the discussed theories.
