Course syllabus

1. The aim of this course is to introduce and discuss the characteristics of modern financial systems
2. Students learn who the participants in today"s markets are, which instruments are most traded, the types and characteristics of the modern financial markets and the role of the regulators in the financial systems
3. The factors that determine the price of money and the value of financial securities will be studied in depth
4. The course builds on the knowledge of finance that students acquired in the first years of their study
