Aims of the course

-to get students acquinted with theory of learning process and its' consequence- knowledge
- to understand the process of organizatinal change and learning and knowledge management as response to it
- to present practical solutions aimed at developing leanring organizations

Course syllabus

This course builds upon the research supported importance of learning and knowledge for
achieving competitive advantage of modern organizations. It covers interdisciplinary fields of
organizational learning, knowledge management, and learning organization to offer an
integrative perspective towards understanding the role of learning and knowledge for
functioning of modern organizations.

It explains the differences among the three often
confused concepts: OL, KM and LO.
The course explains underlying processes and models in a theoretical manner as well as
provides insight into the most recent empirical as well as practical findings from the fields. The course treats knowledge and learning as multi-level concepts, while they emerge at individual,
group, organizational, and inter-organizational level. It also explores the antecedents,
consequences, and context of organizational learning and knowledge management process.
This course also offers insights into some of the most attractive research and professional areas within the field– knowledge and learning networks. It equips the students with firm theoretical
and practical foundations to be able to transform their (future) organizations in learning ones.
