Doing business on emerging markets

Aims of the course

Develop competences for understanding the diversity and specifics of emerging markets and its business environments (Asia, Africa, Latin America, Eeastern Europe)

Develop comepetences and knowledge about entry modes and strategies on selected markets/regions.

Develop competences and skills of team work, presentations, case analysis, projects.

Develop competences of data searching, analysis, synthesis, problem solving for decision making.

Course syllabus

Introduction and analysis of selected emerging markets and regions: Asia, Africa, Latin America, ex Eastern Europe
International trade and regulations in selected emerging regions/markets.
Specifics of doing business in selected regions/markets. Business environment analysis. Specifics of legal, political, economic, cultural, ecological and other environemental issues (pest, c, market potential analysis).
Development of potential entry strategies on selected emerging markets.
Cultural differences and negotiating specifics.
The future development of emerging markets.
