Effective work-life integration

Aims of the course

Course aims:
-To acquaint students with established and emerging theories related to work-family interface and well-being in organizations.
-To understand the scope, relevance and interdisciplinary nature of well-being and work-family issues at multiple levels of aggregation
-To prepare students for identifying antecedents and consequences of well-being and work-life conflicts, while occupying different job posts (as managers, supervisors, HR practitioners, co-workers).
- To raise awareness of the role and ethical responsibility of employees and organizations in co-creating workplaces that assure well-being sustainability and subsequent quality of life.

Specific Objectives include:
-Identify the changing nature of work in contemporary organizations and their effects on individual performance..
-Acquainting students with the challenges of a productive engagement in multiple life roles and their integration.
-Explore organizational policies and initiatives in this area.
-Identifying the gender differences with regard to work-family issues.
-To explore tools for better integration of work and family demands.
