Organizational Culture

Aims of the course

After listening and studying the subject »Organizational Culture«, students should be able to:
1. Describe the external (general) and internal (task) environments and the dimensions of each.
2. Explain the strategies managers use to help organizations adapt to an uncertain or turbulent environment.
3. Define organizational culture and give organizational examples.
4. Explain organizational symbols, stories, heroes, slogans, and ceremonies and their relationships to organizational culture.
5. Describe how organizational culture relates to the environment
6. Define a cultural leader and explain the tools a cultural leader uses to create a high-performance culture.
7. Analyze organizational culture through different tools and techniques.
8. Analyze and exercise approaches to help manage and change organizational culture to increase satisfaction and performance.
9. Examine and define an organization's cultural values and describe how their culture affects the way they operate and perform their objectives.
10. Start thinking about whether the organization needs a culture change, and how that can be achieved.
11. Synthesize the topics consisting OC theme into holistic approach towards OC development
