Aims of the course

The basic purpose of the course is to acquaint students with those findings of modern business finance theory that have found their place in practice.

Students will learn ways to practically solve business finance problems using existing models, with the aim of encouraging student creativity in appropriate adaptations of existing models used to solve such problems.

Time value of money and interest rates
Valuing bonds, projects and firms
Risk and return and the cost of capital
Capital structure and payout policy
Working capital management
