Organization

The highest governance body is the Senate whose members are faculty along with student representatives. The Senate makes decisions on all aspects of each study programme and its implementation. It also appoints various committees for specific areas of the FELU’s activity.
The Business Advisory Board, whose members are the CEOs of some of the most important international firms in Slovenia and abroad, offers guidance to the Senate by steering, supporting and monitoring the creation and implementation of the FELU’s strategic guidelines.
The head of the FELU is the Dean, who co-ordinates the educational, scientific and other activities of the Faculty and is responsible for the FELU’s adherence to the law. The Dean appoints five Vice-deans who, together with the Secretary General, form the FELU’s top management team.
The Governance Board of the FELU makes financial decisions and is responsible for financial management.
The Faculty Assembly (all of the FELU's teaching staff plus representatives of the Student Council) and the Strategic Development Committee (composed of the FELU's teaching staff and heads of administrative units) provides input into the decision-making of the Dean and the Senate.

Number of Students

In the current academic year there are 8161 students enrolled at undergraduate programmes, 1297 students at graduate programmes and 110 at Ph.D. programmes.

Number of Graduates

In academic year 2004/2005 1239 students graduated, 519 at University study programme, and 720 at Business school study programme. At graduate level, 241 students graduated.

In 2005, 508 students graduated at University study programme and 723 at Business school study programme.

In 2006, 528 students graduated at University study programme and 683 at Business school study programme.

In 2007, 604 students graduated at University study programme and 597 at Business school study programme.

In 2008, 528 students graduated at University study programme and 683 at Business school study programme.

Number of postgraduate students

In year 2004, there were 247 master and specialist students graduated: 181 masters and 66 specialists. There were 13 PhDs graduates.

In year 2005, there were 267 master and specialist: 189 masters and 78 specialists. There were 14 PhDs graduates.

In year 2006, there were 322 master and specialist graduates: 215 masters and 107 specialists. There were 19 PhDs graduates.

In year 2007, there were 312 master and specialist graduates: 169 masters and 43 specialists. There were 22 PhDs graduates.

In year 2008, there were 358 master and specialist graduates: 310 masters and 48 specialists. There were 24 PhDs graduates.

Number of Employees

Faculty of Economics employs 248 people:
