Applications

The consortium will launch annually a call for applications. The applications are done online.

Individual mobility is arranged in three (3) cohorts.

Euro-Asian CEA (project 2012 – 2016)
First cohort: The last day for starting mobility within the first cohort is 31 December, 2013.
Second cohort: The latest date for starting mobility within second cohort must be 31 December 2014.
Third cohort: The latest date for starting mobility within third cohort 31 December 2015.
Exception is done for "Staff" whose mobility can start any time within the project duration.
All individual mobility must end by June 2016.

Euro-Asian CEA 2 (project 2013 – 2017)
First cohort: The last day for starting mobility within the first cohort is 31 December, 2014.
Second cohort: The latest date for starting mobility within second cohort must be 31 December 2015.
Third cohort: The latest date for starting mobility within third cohort 31 December 2016.
Exception is done for "Staff" whose mobility can start any time within the project duration.
All individual mobility must end by June 2017.

Required documents for the Euro-Asian CEA on-line application

Documents in any other language must be accompanied by an official translation.
These documents should be scanned and then uploaded, preferably as a PDF file.
Keep the originals of the scans/copies at the ready, so you can produce these whenever they are required later on in the administrative procedure.

Mentioned documents are those needed for the application to Euro-Asian CEA consortium. Further documents may be required for registration at the host partner institution once you have been selected for a scholarship by the consortium.

After deadline no additional documents are accepted, except for official language certificates (TOEFL, IELTS etc.) of which you can prove that you were registered before the application deadline. Language documents are accepted until one week after the deadline, after that it cannot be guaranteed that it will be taken into account in the selection procedure which starts then.

Documents to be uploaded

On this page you can find more information about the documents that you have to upload according to your target group (TG) and the level of mobility you would like to apply for. You are requested to upload scanned versions of all your original documents. In case original documents are not in English or the language of your host country, you need to upload scanned versions of translations of these documents into English or the language of your host country. Translation of documents can be unofficial however confirmed (with stamp and signature) of your home university international departments.

Host universities may ask for additional documents to be uploaded (in addition to the documents listed below). Check your host university's list of study programmes and upload any additional documents (if required).

It's the responsibility of the applicant that all obligatory documents are uploaded. Please see your type of mobility in order to understand which documents need to be uploaded:

UNDERGRADUATE

  • applicants for undergraduate exchange mobility need to be enrolled in an undergraduate programme (BA or equivalent)
  • applicants for undergraduate exchange mobility need to have finished at least one year of undergraduate studies by the time the Euro-Asian mobility period starts
  • applicants for undergraduate exchange mobility may choose maximum two host universities in the online application (first and second choice)
Documents Required TG 1 TG 3 Description
Learning Agreement(s) required yes yes Learning agreement drawn in cooperation with the academic supervisors at the home and host universities. At the time of application it has to be signed by the student. If you will choose a first and a second choice university, please upload learning agreement for each university. Transcript of Records (ToR) required yes yes Must show that you have successfully completed at least one year of undergraduate studies. Students enrolled in the first year of studies should upload the transcript of records that gave them access to university; in this cases, the successfully completion of one year of undergraduate studies must be proven before the beginning of the mobility.
Target Group 3 supporting documents required - yes Document issued by a public or private institution (such as universities, public authorities, NGOs, etc.) giving proof that you belong to a disadvantaged group or are in a particularly vulnerable situation.
Language Certificate required yes yes Required if mandatory for the study programme of your choice. Must be issued by an official language school, university or equivalent and state the level of proficiency you hold in that language.
CV required yes yes Curriculum vitae, please use the Europass template
Passport required yes yes Only a scanned copy of the main page of your passport (the page with the photo). If you do not have a passport, then provide a scanned copy of your national identity card or equivalent document in your country. Keep in mind that, in case you are granted an Erasmus Mundus – Euro-Asian CEA scholarship, you will have to obtain a passport as a travel document and as proof of your nationality.

MASTER

  • applicants may apply for exchange master or full master degree
  • exchange master student needs to be registered as a student at a Central Asian university (home university)
  • applicants may choose two host universities in the online application (first and second choice)
  • exchange master applicants need to have finished his/her bachelor studies (or equivalent) by the time the Euro-Asian mobility period starts

  • exchange doctorate applicants need to have finished his/her master studies (or equivalent) by the time the Euro-Asian mobility period starts

POST - DOCTORATE

  • applicants for post-doctorate mobility may choose two host university in the online application (first and second choice)
  • applicants for post-doctorate mobility needs to have successfully completed his/her doctorate studies by the time the Euro-Asian CEA mobility starts
  • applicants for post-doctorate mobility needs to already have established contact with the host university in order to guarantee that the profile of the post-doctorate applicant matches the thematic expertise of the host university

Invitation Letter required yes Certificate issued by the head of the academic or administrative unit of the host university where you would like to carry out the proposed working plan. The corresponding template is available at here.

Euro-Asian CEA II application is closed.

There will be no new calls.
