It is never overcrowded – but never boring either. 50.000 students give it a youthful vibe, and as the economic and cultural centre of Slovenia, it has a lot to offer locals and visitors alike. The word "love" is in the name of Ljubljana itself, which sounds similar to "ljubljena" (beloved woman). As a student in Slovenia you have numerous opportunities to travel, discover the unspoilt nature and do sports, taste different foods that will delight your palate and attend various events that are great performances and music for your ears. Ljubljana is located at the intersection of major European transportation routes, half way between Vienna and Venice.
