Academic mobility

SEB LU faculty members have the opportunity to participate in academic exchange programmes in order to gain international experience which enables them to enrich their learning process or even develop new study programmes. Faculty members can choose among 133 partner institutions in over 40 countries worldwide.

Also our foreign visiting professors are of great importance. The SEB LU has over 25 professors each month participating in the exchange programmes offered through ERASMUS and CEEPUS programmes and other bilateral exchange programmes. They contribute to the development of new and better teaching techniques and the overall quality of the faculty.

SEB LU provides logistical, organizational and informational support to domestic and foreign professors before arrival, while-on site and after departure. In this way, professors can focus on their lectures and other teaching obligations.

Academic exchange can be made within the framework of the ERASMUS and CEEPUS programme or in other forms of bilateral exchanges.

ERASMUS FRAMEWORK

Mobility in the Erasmus framework can be done in one of the 133 partner institutions which have a signed bilateral agreement with SEB LU. Individual mobility can last from at least 1 working day to no more than 6 weeks (30 working days) and the minimum requirement is 5 hours of lectures. Mobility is partially funded by the European Commission's resources.

CEEPUS FRAMEWORK

Higher education institutions which are participating in the CEEPUS Regional Development Network (REDENE) are from the following countries: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Serbia. Member states provide scholarships and placement for visiting professors. Amounts of scholarships are therefore different in each country. More information is available on the CEEPUS website.
