Curriculum Vitae
Dr. Aljaž Stare, CSPM, started his career as a machanical engineer and gained first project experiences as a designer of electro-mechanical devices in late eighties. He managed his first project - a new product development - in 1994, and later also various types of projects: engineering, business reengineering, IT projects, introduction of new work methods, and he organised several conferences and other events. Until 2008 he worked in the private sector, since then he has been senior lecturer and later assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. For the last 18 years he also advises the Slovenian enterprises and trains project managers – he has conducted project management seminars and workshops in over 100 Slovenian enterprises, with more than 2,500 participants. He has got an international project management certificate IPMA – CSPM (Certified Senior Project Manager), and has been longtime member of the IPMA (International Project Management Association) amd Slovenian Project Management Association (ZPM), whose president was between 2006 and 2010. He is the author of over sixty articles, the book Project Management: Theory and Practice (2011), and the project blog www.projektni-management.si.
