Curriculum Vitae
Kaja Rangus, PhD, is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana. She received her PhD in business and organizational science from the University of Ljubljana in 2014. Her research focuses on innovation management and entrepreneurship. She received the "Best Emerging Scholar Award" (2nd place) granted by the Garwood Center for Corporate Innovation, Berkeley at the WOIC 2016 (and 4th place at the WOIC 2017). Her doctoral dissertation was ranked among the top 9 nominees at the "EDAMBA PhD Thesis Competition 2015" and among the top 20 nominees for the "ISPIM PhD Dissertation Award 2015". She has published her work in various international journals and has participated at several research conferences on entrepreneurship and innovation, such as the Academy of Management, R&D management, WOIC and RENT. She has been involved in different international and national research projects. She is a reviewer for international journals, i.e. Creativity and Innovation Management, Innovation: Organization and management, European Management Journal, etc. During her doctoral studies, she was employed by the consulting company Vibacom as a young researcher from the industry, a position financed in part by the European Union, European Social Fund. During her undergraduate and graduate studies she was employed by Technology Park Ljubljana gaining some practical experiences related to entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems.
