Curriculum Vitae
Mojca Svetek is a researcher and lecturer at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. She holds two Master's degrees - one in Psychology (Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana) and one in Business Administration (School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana), both completed with exemplary grades. She completed her doctoral studies prematurely and was awarded cum laude for her thesis. She is the recipient of several academic prizes, including the Nahtigal Award (field of psychology), the Prešeren Award (field of economics and business) and the University of Ljubljana Award for the Best Student Achievements. At the age of 21, she wrote and presented her first scientific empirical research. Her research achievements include admission to the world's most prestigious entrepreneurship research conference (BCERC/Babson) and publication in the world's most influential entrepreneurship journal (Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice). Her research focuses mainly on early-stage venture financing. Mentoring is available for theses addressing entrepreneurship as a career choice (vs employment), the psychology of entrepreneurship, persuasion tactics for raising start-up funds, women in entrepreneurship, precarious entrepreneurship and ethics in entrepreneurship.
