A guest lecture by Kerstin Jorna, Director-General of DG GROW (Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs) at the European Commission, will take place on Wednesday, 27 May 2026, at 2 p.m. in the Lila Hall. The event will be held in English as part of the EU Economic Policies course.

Kerstin Jorna is among the leading representatives of the European Commission in the fields of industrial policy, competitiveness, the single market, and technological development within the European Union. Her lecture will focus on current discussions surrounding Europe’s future competitiveness and the EU’s strategic development priorities.

Special attention will be dedicated to the European Competitiveness Fund, the Industrial Accelerator Act, negotiations on the new Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF), and questions of the EU’s industrial and technological sovereignty.
