Kick-off of the General Management Academy in Skopje: Alkaloid Invests in Leadership Development
The Centre of Business Excellence of the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana (CPOEF), successfully held the kick-off event of the new 8-module General Management Academy in Skopje. The Academy was designed by Alkaloid, the leading pharmaceutical company in the region, for its talents and leaders.
At the opening, participants were addressed by Zhivko Mukaetov, President of the Management Board of Alkaloid, who emphasized that the Academy represents a carefully considered and strategic investment in people, leadership, and the future of the company.
The Academy is more than an educational program. As highlighted at the opening by Maša Madon, Director of CPOEF, its purpose is not to provide ready-made answers, but to develop strategic thinking, leadership capabilities, and the ability to make decisions in a complex business environment — also through work on real business projects that are strategically important for Alkaloid.
The collaboration was also welcomed by Prof. Metka Tekavčič, PhD, Head of the Master’s Programme in Management and Organization at the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana, in North Macedonia. She emphasized that the Faculty of Economics has been present in North Macedonia with postgraduate education for nearly 20 years, with Melita Sekulovska, Coordinator of the UL SEB postgraduate programme in Southeast European markets, playing an important role in all related activities. CPOEF is now further strengthening this long-standing presence by entering the Macedonian market as a reliable partner in the field of executive education.
