UL SEB part of the newly awarded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network under Horizon Europe
We are delighted to share that the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana (SEB LU) is part of the newly awarded Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network under Horizon Europe. The network, EMANAIRE – Empowering Human Agency in AI-Augmented Futures of Work, will train 15 doctoral candidates to study how generative AI and AI agents are reshaping work, organisations, and careers.
At UL SEB, the project will be led by prof. dr. Matej Černe and doc. dr. Amadeja Lamovšek. Our team will contribute expertise in management, organisation studies, the future of work, digitalisation of work, and human agency in AI-augmented organisations.
Within EMANAIRE, UL SEB will focus on how AI becomes embedded in everyday organisational life: how it changes work processes, decision-making, collaboration, responsibility, employee agency, and the development of skills and careers over time. Through doctoral supervision, interdisciplinary research, and collaboration with academic and societal partners, we will help generate new insights into how organisations can introduce AI in ways that are responsible, sustainable, and human-centered.
EMANAIRE brings together leading European institutions: BI Norwegian Business School as coordinator, Technical University of Munich, Stockholm School of Economics, Aarhus University, Hanken School of Economics, Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich, University of Zurich, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and the University of Ljubljana.
The network also connects with a strong group of associated partners from industry, the public sector, and international organisations, including The Slovenian Academy of Management as our non-academic partner in Slovenia.
More information on doctoral positions, research activities, and partner events will follow.
