Students of International Economics and Global Markets Explore Strategic Foresight and Future Global Orders at Grad Jable
Students of the International Economics and Global Markets programme participated in a strategic foresight exercise held on 14 May 2026 at Grad Jable under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Katja Zajc Kejžar, Prof. Dr. Črt Kostevc, and Assist. Matej Lino Pirc, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. Strategic foresight is an increasingly important method for identifying trends and possible future scenarios that enables organisations to make timely and well-informed strategic decisions.
The exercise was led by Ambassador Sabina R. Stadler, who introduced students to the practical application of strategic foresight methods in addressing complex global challenges. Using a variety of techniques, including the “Triangle” method and the Futures Wheel method, students explored the challenges of the contemporary world and reflected on one of the key questions of our time: Who or what leads (in) the world of different world orders, and what strategic opportunities may emerge for small European countries in this context?
