Curriculum Vitae
Sandra Penger, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Management and Organization at the Academic Unit for management and organization at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics (FELU). She received her Ph.D. degree in Management and Organization at FELU in 2006. Her research interests primarily focus on management and leadership, especially authentic leadership, advanced management, positive psychology in leadership, learning styles, positive organizational behavior, learning organization, management and education economics, and management in the public sector. She has published over 100 original scientific papers/scientific conference contributions/scientific monographs/reviewed university books and participated in national and international projects. She has also published her work in scientific journals (also SCI and SSCI ranged), and presented her scientific research at foreign and local conferences. She teaches in both graduate and under-graduate courses related to management and leadership principles in general, advanced management, learning organization, organizational culture, education management, and nonprofit leadership and management. Dr. Penger was a mentor to 500 students’ thesis (from 2001 to 2014). A recipient of five Best Paper Awards at The Clute Institute Conferences among others extraordinary study achievements. As a member of the research group Future-O® and the Research Program Group under the mentorship of Prof. Vlado Dimovski, Ph.D. she has consistently been exposed to contemporary business practice and has participated in numerous targeted and basic research projects. In the election periods 2009–2011 and 2011–2013, Dr. Penger was the vice-chair of the Academic Unit for Management and Organization in the Faculty of Economics University of Ljubljana. In the present election period 2013–2015 she has been elected as a member of the Academic Affairs Committee of the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana.
