Tomaž Baus

Was born and raised In east Ljubljana. I spent most of my early days on the dancefloor. I graduated from Systems Logistics at the Faculty of Logistics in Celje. As soon as I heard what the IMB is, I knew this is the programme for me. I am a calm and open-minded person who is most productive when under stress. I know being a part of the 20th generation of IMB will provide me with a good foundation to build my career on.

Anja Bergant

Following my personal motto: No excuse, no regret, I want to make the best of every chance that is given to me. One of them is the IMB programme. After graduating from the School of Economics and Business, I lived in Turkey for half year, as an exchange student and spent one month in China for summer school. I see the IMB as an opportunity to broaden my horizons, gain teamwork experiences and meet new people. Being able to follow my dreams, stay down to earth and at the same time find enough time for my beloved ones would be one of my great achievements.

Vasja Bočko

My university path began at the Faculty of Computer and Information Science at the University of Ljubljana. A change of heart in my second year resulted in the enrollment at the Faculty of Social Sciences and obtaining a degree in European Studies. Attending my third year of European Studies at the University of Iceland in Reykjavik, completing a three-month internship at the Slovenian embassy in Washington, D.C., an internship at a representative office of a Slovenian company in London, washing dishes in Scotland and pruning kiwi trees in New Zealand have provided me with valuable international experience and practical knowledge. I consider myself as a person who does not like to take the conventional path and has broad interests.

Elena Cataeva

I am glad to be here! My name is Elena Cataeva and I am from Moldova. I graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Saint – Petersburg State University, majoring in Organisation Management, Economics and Management of Tourism Organisations. After my studies I obtained valuable work experience from a tour company. I like sports, enjoy travelling and discovering new interesting things. I am glad to be the part of IMB programme as I wish to gain knowledge and study on a new level of business, management and economics. I am interested in internationalizing through the process of studying in Slovenia and to get acquainted with people who share the same interest as myself.

Alen Crevar

I am a 21-year old student from a beautiful town called Rogaška Slatina. I graduated from the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, majoring in Bank and Financial management. I love challenges because I believe they make life much more interesting, vivid and are one of the main factors of personal and professional growth. That is also one of the reasons I chose to enroll in the IMB programme. I see myself as very committed and devoted person with optimistic views. Ana Dobrosavlevich

My name is Ana Dobrosavlevich. I graduated from the American University in Bulgaria with a double major in European Studies and International Relations. After my studies, I had the opportunity to acquire a diverse international experience, working for EU and UN organisations in Austria and Germany. The possibility to interact with high performing managers, experienced international instructors and talented IMB fellow students will definitely provide me with a more global understanding and appreciation of things, necessary to succeed in today’s interconnected world.

Žiga Drev

I am Žiga Drev and I graduated from International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences. Having experienced a study year abroad in Riga, the decision to apply for the IMB programme was nearly a no-brainer. I simply enjoy working with people of different origin who carry a plethora of diverse experiences and knowledge and are therefore qualified to contribute to the “cocktail” of added value of just about anything. Friends and colleagues say that I am a cohesive factor when it comes to connecting people with complementary aspirations or merely organizing a social event. No doubt this competence is going to be put to use for the benefit of IMB related undertakings.

Alexander Drewes

Hey, I am Alex from Germany. Being a positive person I am quite excited about getting to know my new colleagues. Beside doing my Bachelor in International Business Administration I have been doing longer internships in the area of human resources at a headhunting company and later in the entrepreneur business. I love to laugh and smiling people lighten up my day rapidly - hence I think Slovenia is the right place for me. My pursuit of happiness has led me here and it shall not forsake me.

Andrej Dolenc

I graduated from the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, majoring in Bank and Financial Management. In my third study year I decided to broaden my horizons by attending a student exchange in Sweden and China. Those experiences gave me some new perspectives on life in general and academically. As a very ambitious person I try to learn as much as I can and win every battle that life throws my way, even if it is a friendly match of tennis.

Ana Flegar

My name is Ana Flegar and I graduated from the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business. I am a very open minded person who likes to travel and meet new people from all around the world. I spent one semester abroad in Dijon, France where I fell in love with their 'pates', cheeses, wines and of course got some international experience. Due to the magnificent Erasmus exchange, I am planning to go abroad and get some international working experience as well. In my life I have also practiced a lot of sports, such as gymnastics, tennis and volleyball, which I still play in my free time.

Nuša Gantar

During my studies I had the privilege to work in different fields of communication: copywriting, journalism, PR and lastly, a year of pure marketing. During this time I realized the importance of business and economic knowledge, hence my application to the IMB programme. In the future, I would like to see myself running a marketing department of an internationally renowned organisation or even better to work with my close colleagues in a start-up, where I could pursue my own vision and work for something I truly believe in.

Nobuhiko HARAGUCHI

This is already my second long term stay in Slovenia. I was living here for 8 months until March, when I was working as a student intern. Before I came to Ljubljana, I couldn't imagine staying here for such a long time, but I think that Slovenia is the loveliest country in the world. I graduated from engineering in Japan. During my studies my main focus was space science. I like basketball, playing it and watching it. Throughout this sophisticated IMB programme, I would like to strengthen my leadership skills, as my dream is to become a leader one day and enjoy that role.

Peter Horvat

Hi, I am Peter, originally from Maribor, Slovenia. After studying at The Graz University of Technology, Austria, for some years, I came to Ljubljana in 2007 to study Managerial Economics, here, at School of Economics and Business. This took me longer than planned, mostly because of the many activities I was engaged in. I helped found and run an IT start-up company and I helped run the debating club here at the faculty. I enjoy learning and discussing every kind of scientific or at least logics based matter, and basically anything else, whenever the company is good. I look forward to meeting all of you.

Liudmyla Iakubenko

My name is Liudmyla, I am from Ukraine, Kyiv and I never thought that I would study Economics. . Somehow formulas always make me cry and graphs literally chill me to the bone. At least I have learnt how to calculate my change. But not so long ago, I got obsessed with online media and advertising as well as with Slovenia itself, so I took my chances to enter the IMB programme understanding it is the best way to plunge into completely different life, gain absolutely fresh experience and fix my burning ambitions for advertising management. As they say, “if it scares you, it might be a good idea to try it.”

Uršula Jenko

I have just graduated from the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business and to be honest, my student exchange in Berlin was undoubtedly the best experience I could have got from my undergraduate programme. However, I am sure that the most interesting and amusing part of my studies is still ahead. Living abroad definitely opened my eyes and filled me with energy; therefore, I am planning on doing an internship abroad as well. I believe that the most important thing in my life is to find a hobby (meaning a job), which will inspire me and make me happy. In my free time you can find me snowboarding off-road or doing some kite surfing tricks.

Martin Kraljić

I am from Krško, a small city with the only and utterly important nuclear power plant in Slovenia. I have been playing tennis since primary school. Tennis was my primary occupation till the end of high school when I tried to go pro. Since that did not work out as I expected, I continued my education at the School of Economics and Business and majored in Management. Aiming at practical and useful knowledge as well at a great start of my career, I decided to enroll in the IMB. I like to occupy myself with meaningful activities that boost my self-confidence, knowledge and the understanding of the world. Whenever I have some time off I still love to combine sports and a good time with my friends.

Vanja Lalić

My name is Vanja and I am from beautiful city of Osijek, Croatia. In 2010 I graduated from Market Communications Management in Zagreb. Since then I have been working in Northern Ireland, Malta and Turkey where I gained valuable experience and learned a lot about the business world, life and most importantly, about myself. In Istanbul, I found out about the IMB programme and made my decision. I am very interested in mergers and acquisitions as well as in international business development projects and I see myself working as a specialist in this area in a multinational company. Interesting about me; I have a twin sister; I am a passionate motorbike driver and my weak spot are animals.

Andre Laurentino

I graduated from the University of Lisbon, also my hometown, in the field of Social Sciences. Following, I focused on international relations and I decided to face a new challenge and go into a field of studies unrelated to what I studied before. Three years after doing my Erasmus student exchange in Ljubljana, it felt like the right time to return. I believe that the IMB is the right place to be, as it offers a very challenging study environment. I consider myself to be an adventurous and outgoing person that enjoys team work.

I have recently finished my undergraduate studies at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business. I am a person that always looks forward to new challenges and opportunities. I am an ambitious and well qualified student, keen to learn and gain new skills in the business sector. Mpho Mzingelwa

My name is Mpho Mzingelwa. I am a proud South African; born and bred in one of the rural areas of the Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. I am a Computer Science graduate of the Walter Sisulu University. In South Africa, I worked in various organisations, such as the University of South Africa and the Walter Sisulu University from which I acquired some valuable work experience, knowledge and skills. One thing which could be interesting about me is my native language (IsiXhosa – “Isikshojsa”) – one of the few languages in the world with CLICKS. I invite you to ask me more about that.

Silvia Nađ

I am 24 years old and I come from Croatia. I studied business economics at the Faculty of Economics in Rijeka and I gained master degree in Finance and Banking. In the last semester of my master studies I went on an Erasmus student exchange to Ljubljana where I have spent 6 months. I enjoy living in multicultural environments, I love to dance, travel, read books and spend time in nature. Klemen Peruško

I graduated from the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, majoring in International Economics. In my opinion my strengths lie in the somewhat analytical side of economic science. For me challenge of enrolling in the INB programme is to further develop business knowledge and people orientated skills leaves more to be desired. I predominantly see the IMB programme as a mechanism to meet new challenging tasks in areas where my current experience is less than satisfactory.

Erik Poljšak

I am always eager to be set to the new unknown environment, which in turn motivates me to learn and adapt in the most efficient way. Moreover, I have already obtained an international experience during my student exchange at the Birmingham Business School, UK, which assured my ability to interact and adjust to foreign environments and cultural diversities. Manja Robič-Zima

My name is Manja and I come from Ljubljana. Recently, I graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences from International Relations. My passion is sport, more specifically figure ice skating, which I trained for 19 years. Due to an injury, I stopped skating and decided to focus on studying and coaching young skaters. I am very ambitious and open-minded person. I see the IMB programme as a new challenge and opportunity to reach my academic and career goals.

Scott Schmidt

My name is Scott Schmidt. I am from Ottawa, Canada. I graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa with a bachelor's degree in political science. I also went on a student exchange year to Lancaster University in the United Kingdom. My career ambition is to work at a position that involves both a business and a political or international relation aspect to it. My main hobby is football. I managed and coached a football team in Canada for 5 years, and I am an Arsenal FC fan. Regarding something interesting about myself, I lived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for ten years between 1993-2003.

Uroš Skulj

Hey everyone! My name is Uroš Skulj and I come from Ljubljana, Slovenia. I recently graduated from Organisational Sciences at the Faculty of Organisational Sciences in Kranj. Before that I also graduated in Telecommunications Engineering. As the president of the School for Performing Arts, BAST, I manage and organize different activities like events and dance classes. In my free time I like to read, dance, travel and explore the world. The reason I enrolled in the IMB programme is to expand my business knowledge, meet new people from around the globe, get new ideas and gain international experience.

I recently graduated from the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, majoring in the field of Finance. Professionally my interest lies in investments. On a personal level my goal is to live a full life, to gain experience and to grow as a person. I want to be as decent, humble and happy as a person can be. Stefan Spiroski

On a personal level, I see myself as an adventurous spirit, keen to explore, learn and challenge myself. I use my spare time to enjoy the mountains, whether skiing, mountain biking or hiking. During my Financial Management studies I gained some experience working part-time for an insurance brokerage company. After graduating, I joined a small audit and financial consulting firm for a short period of time. Yet, I figured, I need to study more in order to be fully prepared for future business challenges. I see myself as a management consultant. As always, I wanted to go big! So I did, I joined the IMB!

Patrick Strubel

I feel like the IMB will provide me with an excellent opportunity to continue my education on a high level and create interesting job-opportunities after finishing the programme. I come from the oldest city in Slovenia, Ptuj. I graduated from Transport Logistics at Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transportation in Portorož. With all the fresh knowledge from school, I immediately started to work in a Logistics company, where I gained invaluable experience and extensive knowledge. Now it's time for next step in my life. I would like to obtain business, managerial and leadership abilities and the IMB is the right place to do that. My name is Nina and I come from Ljubljana. I am ambitious, open-minded and a sociable person who always seeks for new challenges. In my spare time I love doing sport, travelling and going out with friends. My name is Vid Štern and I come from a small village named Kotlje. My biggest hobby has always been volleyball. I am a former member of the junior national team. After completing the bachelor programme at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, I decided to continue my studies at the IMB programme. Julia Svandova

After graduating from Media Communication and Marketing at the University of Slovakia I have decided to take a year off to gain some practical experience in HR field, which is together with Marketing my area of interest. Based on my previous studies and work experiences in Vienna, USA and Sri Lanka I knew I wanted to study abroad. Four years ago I visited Slovenia and I totally fell in love with this country. After finding the IMB programme it was decided – international and specialized program with a major in Marketing was exactly what I was looking for.

My name is Aimee and I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I have two degrees in the Health Sciences and I have a passion for health and wellness. I come from Ljutomer, a small town in Slovenia. Recently I finished my bachelor degree at the Faculty of Social Sciences. Silvana Žorž

As I like to know what is going on in the world I studied International Relations at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana. I used my study time to travel around and I also went to Leuven in Belgium on the Erasmus Exchange. Personally, I am a multitasking person that likes new challenges and working with new people. More than in words, I believe in actions. Because I don’t want to just be a speaker but a “doer”, I have chosen the IMB, as the perfect place to put my words and ideas to work.
