JULIJA BARBIČ

During my bachelor studies at the SEB LU, specialising in Money and Finance, I realized I am driven to constantly challenge myself. Academically, I finished my last semester at an Erasmus exchange at the WU Vienna, where I discovered I truly appreciate international environment; therefore, I decided to take a gap year and test myself conducting an internship at Kia Motors Europe. Furthermore, I constantly challenge my limits in my free time as well, specifically by climbing and mountain hiking. In doing that, I can live according to what I strongly believe in: that facing ours fears always rewards us—in my case, with a sense of accomplishment and a magnificent view. The next reasonable step for me is to obtain a Master's degree at the IMB program, especially since I believe it represents a perfect opportunity for me to grow personally and professionally, while preparing me to enter the business world confident and with a considerable network of hard-working and talented colleagues.

ŽIGA VERBIČ

My enthusiasm for technology management comes from seeing the potential that access to information may provide and the impact it had on me personally. Being technologically fluent allowed me to read and educate myself on topics previously unattainable to help widen my point of view. The demand for accessible knowledge is only increasing and I believe it brings with it great value. Seeing a constant rise in the complexity of our society, our understanding of said complexity must rise with it. Only then will we be able to recognize threats and opportunities in the environment and react properly. Furthermore as our dependence and need for energy increase so does our impact on the planet. This is why I believe it is crucial, for continued growth and development of our communities, to give great focus on building a sustainable economy. IMB is a program that I think can contribute greatly to acquiring the needed skills and knowledge for an individual to achieve their goals. For this and other reasons I look forward to having interesting experiences and meeting even more interesting people.
