Kratek življenjepis
Matevz is a habilitated Associate professor of international business at School of Economics and Business Ljubljana University, where he worked till February 2018. He is currently a Senior lecturer of international business at Victoria University of Wellington, School of Marketing and International Business in New Zealand, where he is the Director of the Post Graduate Programme of International Business. Matevz received his PhD and MSc from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2012 and 2007. He is the recipient of the 2013 University of Ljubljana President’s Award for Outstanding Achievement of Young Faculty. Matevz was a Fulbright Fellow at Harvard University, FAS Sociology in 2017 and a visiting doctoral student at Harvard, FAS Sociology in 2010-2011.Matevz is also a guest professor at Zhejiang School of Management in China at the Program in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership (PIEGL). He is also a habilitated Associate Professor of International Business at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, Slovenia. He has been the 2012-2013 guest professor at Shanghai University of International Business & Economics in China, the 2013-2014 guest professor at Kyungpook National University in South Korea and the 2015-2017 guest professor at ESCP Business School Berlin in Germany, where he taught a master’s course on international management. Additionally, he has held guest lectures at Lancaster University Management School (UK), Dublin City University (Ireland), City University of Hong Kong (China), Sichuan University (China) and Shanghai Normal University (China).Matevz is a guest co-editor for two special issues. One on business with Central and Eastern Europe in Journal of Business Research (forthcoming in 2019) and one on Chopsticks management practices in European business in European Journal of International Management (forthcoming 2019/2020). He was also the 2017 conference co-chair at the 4th AIB-CEE chapter conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia and is the funding chair of the China-CEE academic conference, a biannual academic conference platform supported by the Confucius Institute Network and HANBAN.
