Kick-off Meeting for the IMB Final Project: Portorož Business Conference 2025
The students of the IMB Programme at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, have officially embarked on their final project – the Portorož Business Conference Project (PKP). The project represents the culmination of their academic journey and will be presented at the Portorož Business Conference in November 2025.
At the recent kick-off meeting, IMB students gathered together with their mentors and editors to launch this year’s project, entitled:
“Exploring the Growth Potential of Deep Tech and Other Emerging Technologies in Slovenia.”
Working in twelve groups under the guidance of experienced mentors, students will research and analyze various aspects of Slovenia’s technological and innovation landscape. Their focus ranges from assessing the potential of the country’s deep tech, bio tech, and green tech ecosystems, to examining case studies of pioneering companies, and investigating new frontiers such as quantum technologies, hydrogen infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and smart factories.
Through this comprehensive research, the IMB students aim to provide valuable insights into how Slovenia can strengthen its innovation capacity and harness emerging technologies for sustainable growth. The project not only develops their analytical and teamwork skills but also contributes to shaping the conversation on the future of technology and business in Slovenia.
The results of their work will be presented in November at the Portorož Business Conference, bringing together academia, industry, and policymakers to discuss opportunities and strategies for Slovenia’s technological advancement.
