Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – SEB Edition
As part of the Incom Leone project: Expansion of business models, which is taking place within the framework of the Problem-Based Learning of Students in the Workplace (PUŠ) 2024–2027 operation, students of the Faculty of Economics Eldina Agovič, Tinkara Balantič, Špela Geršak, Irma Hairlahović, Nejc Pavliha, Nina Štibelj and Nikita Stergar, under the guidance of pedagogical mentor Maša Košak and with the support of mentor from the workplace Anisa Faganelj, Head of Human Resources at Leone, explored the challenges of employee well-being and the expansion of company business models.
The students participated in a production tour in Ajdovščina with the company team, where they became a real "Charlie in the chocolate factory" for a day and saw how Leone ice creams are made. Such an experience allowed them direct insight into the production processes and gave them valuable context for preparing suggestions for improvements and new business opportunities.
At the closing event, the students presented their findings and recommendations to the management of Leone. Their solutions were not just an academic exercise, but were prepared in a way that could be immediately implemented into business practice. They presented concrete proposals for improving employee well-being, ensuring psychological safety, and developing business models based on sustainability and creating added value. In doing so, they demonstrated that connecting the faculty and the economy can bring about innovative, practical, and feasible solutions that benefit both the company and the wider society.
