School of Economics and Business moved up in the Financial Times rankings
University of Ljubljana School of Economics and Business has moved up in the Financial Times ranking of the 95 best business schools in Europe.
We are delighted that two study programs have contributed to the prestigious ranking of the School of Economics and Business. This advance is underpinned by programme results: the International Master’s Programme in Business and Organisation (IMB) is now 35th in Europe, and the Ljubljana MBA is 61st.
The Financial Times ranking is one of the most prestigious global rankings of business schools, published since 1999. The list of the best European business schools was first presented in 2007. The prestigious Financial Times European ranking is composite — it aggregates a school’s results across five components into a single index of quality and breadth: MBA, executive MBA, master’s in management and executive education, and faculty. Under the Financial Times methodology, each component contributes a defined share to the overall position, so improvements in the constituent programme rankings directly strengthen a school’s composite result. Financial Times applies a transparent, externally audited methodology; programme rankings combine data reported by schools with alumni surveys three years after graduation.
The ranking is, among other things, the result of our high-quality study programmes and the strong employability of graduates, who within three years of completing their studies achieve outstanding career outcomes and a high rate of transition into the labour market. This year’s result confirms an upward trend and further international visibility, relevance, and reputation of UL SEB’s programmes.
