E-resources: updates and changes in 2026
In 2026, the CEK Library expanded and updated its range of e-resources available to students and staff at UL SEB. Key developments include the addition of the new TrendWatching collection, an upgrade of e-resources within EBSCO databases, and the introduction of the Consumer Insights module in Statista.
New collection: TrendWatching
From January 2026, the TrendWatching collection has been available, offering in-depth insights into current social, technological, and consumer trends. The content is structured across three levels:
- Sub-Trends – specific, fast-evolving trends and business opportunities;
- Mega-Trends – strategic insights into key directions shaping the coming decade;
- Macro-Trends – long-term, systemic shifts influencing the future of society and the economy.
The platform also provides access to more than 30,000 examples of innovative practices, organised by industry, country, and business objectives.
Upgrade of the EBSCO Business Source database
It provides access to approximately 4,000 e-journals, as well as a wide range of case studies, conference proceedings, reports, and video content in economics and business studies.
Changes to ProQuest resources
In 2026, access to ProQuest Business One was discontinued; however, access to ProQuest’s e-book collection has been retained.
E-books can be read online, and individual chapters downloaded in PDF format.
New module in Statista
The Statista database has been expanded with the new Consumer Insights module, which enables analysis of consumer behaviour, attitudes and preferences based on extensive international survey data.
Access to the database is provided via the Single Sign-On (SSO) system; users can log in via the link using their UL digital identity.
