Can we help young people “find themselves” when life gets hectic?
Can we help young people “find themselves” when life gets hectic?
In the winter semester 2025/2026, in the course New Product Development, led by Prof. Tanja Dmitrović and Assist. Prof. Živa Kolbl, we continued our collaboration with Zavod VOZIM, a leading Slovenian NGO in innovative education and behaviour change.
The focus of the project was Najdi.se 2.0, a concept designed to support young people (aged 18–23) through major life transitions, when routines can easily fall apart. This includes starting university, moving away from home, entering a first job, changing social circles, or coping with stress and uncertainty. Today’s youth face growing pressures, from constant digital stimulation and loneliness to stigma around mental health and difficulties building healthy habits.
Our guiding question was simple: How can we create an approachable, motivating solution that helps young people take small steps toward better everyday wellbeing, without feeling preachy or out of touch?
Across six student teams, our master’s students worked like a research and creative agency, turning gathered insights into concrete concepts. Their ideas ranged from a youth-first digital space that feels safe and inclusive to reflection journal solutions (digital or hybrid) built around micro-challenges, quick prompts, and motivation that actually sticks. Each proposal was paired with a modern social marketing approach, designed for the channels, formats, and tone young people respond to today. The project was enriched by Domen Dan Gaiman (Head of Marketing, Elan) and Matjaž Germ (Creative Director, Agency 101), who contributed valuable insights, practical suggestions, and excellent feedback on students’ work.
The final pitch sessions brought together representatives of Zavod VOZIM and other key stakeholders. We were proud to welcome the Secretary from the Ministry of Health, which highlighted how timely and important this topic is. Students impressed the audience with in-depth research, contemporary creativity, and solutions designed for real-world impact.
