From startups to Web3: Niko Klanšek's entrepreneurial story inspires students
Niko Klanšek's guest lecture offered students valuable insights into modern global entrepreneurship, where startups, investments, blockchain, and artificial intelligence intertwine to create new business opportunities.
Students at the School of Economics and Business at the University of Ljubljana were addressed by Niko Klanšek, a serial entrepreneur, consultant, investor, and one of the speakers who quickly capture the audience's attention with their energy, experience, and breadth of vision. The guest lecture took place on April 1, 2026, as part of a lecture (Prof. Dr. Boštjan Antončič) in the Entrepreneurship course at the international undergraduate program.
At the lecture, Niko Klanšek presented his entrepreneurial journey, from the first steps in the world of entrepreneurship to his involvement in modern trends such as Web3, blockchain, and AI agents. He showed students how an entrepreneurial career is built through ideas, courage, testing, perseverance, and the ability to recognize opportunities where others do not yet see them.
In his speech, he highlighted several important milestones from his career. As a co-founder, he participated in the creation of several successful startups, carried out two important company sales, helped launch more than 100 successful Kickstarter campaigns, and invested in innovative startups and DAO projects. He also presented his experience in sports management, as he served as the president of a professional basketball club.
He placed special emphasis on new technological and business perspectives. In an understandable and concrete way, he introduced students to the field of Web3, the importance of decentralized communities, and the development of AI agents, which are increasingly changing the ways of working, making decisions, and creating value in the modern business environment.
Niko Klanšek is the founder of BizMe, a New York-based consulting and investment firm, co-founder of HashMark, a creative collective for blockchain projects, and initiator of Kenmare, a Web3 investment DAO. With his lecture, he offered students a direct insight into the world of modern global entrepreneurship and encouraged them to reflect on the importance of innovation, adaptability, and a broad view of opportunities and the future.
