Salus is one of the leading independent pharmaceutical commercialization and distribution platforms in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), supporting biotech, pharmaceutical, and MedTech companies in entering, expanding, and strengthening their presence across 18 regional markets.

During the discussion, Mr. Hieng talked about his professional journey and reflected on the leadership challenges and opportunities that arise in a rapidly changing business environment.  Among the key messages highlighted during the event were the importance of continuous learning, the courage to step outside one's comfort zone, and the value of developing an international mindset. Mr. Hieng also emphasized that effective leadership is built on people, trust, communication, and the ability to unite teams around a shared vision.

The conversation also addressed the strategic merger between Salus and Sanolabor, which represents an important milestone for both organizations and demonstrates the growing importance of collaboration in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

In addition, the students explored current developments in the pharmaceutical industry and discussed how Europe and Slovenia can strengthen their competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic global market.
