Operations Management Presentations
As part of the Operations Management course, IMB students recently presented their project work, taking on the role of decision-makers in a realistic business environment. The project, The Operations Challenge of Scaling a Pharma Startup, required students to work in seven teams, each focusing on critical operational areas.
Working with limited data, students developed structured assumptions and formulated scenario-based recommendations to support informed business decisions. Each team approached the challenge from a distinct perspective, while ensuring that their solutions contributed to a coherent and integrated operational strategy—mirroring the complexity of real-world business environments.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Professor Marko Jakšić for his guidance and mentorship. We also thank the Knowledge Transfer Office of the University of Ljubljana for their valuable support and collaboration, particularly Simona Rataj and Peter Alešnik, as well as Špela Zupančič and Anže Židar from the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Through project-based learning, IMB continues to foster analytical thinking, effective decision-making, and clear communication in complex settings. This project stands as an excellent example of applied learning in practice.
