Abstract
The research project will employ a comparative analysis to examine how employee ownership affects business performance, corporate resilience, and the quality of employment. It will focus on a range of financial and operational data, including revenue, asset valuation, debt levels, headcount, value added per employee, profitability, and other relevant indicators. Special attention will be paid to crisis management strategies—particularly concerning the economic repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic—and to comparing crisis responses in conventionally owned companies versus employee-owned enterprises. Within this framework, the study aims to identify factors that enhance the resilience and adaptability of companies with significant employee ownership. Moreover, the project will address how employee ownership impacts the quality of jobs, focusing on working conditions and elements of organizational culture. Findings will provide a comprehensive understanding of both the economic and social implications of employee ownership, thereby offering evidence-based insights for shaping policies and measures aimed at fostering a sustainable and inclusive economy.
