Transfer to UL SEB
Transfer means that students want to continue their studies here after they have fulfilled certain academic requirements at another institution. They apply for recognition of courses or obligations already completed in order to continue their studies at our university from the second or third year.
When and where can I apply?
The application period is open from 1 to 15 September 2025. Candidates are requested to submit supporting documents together with the enrolment application for study on the eVŠ portal.
What to submit?
Candidates are requested to attach the following documents to the application for enrolment on the eVŠ portal:
- Copy of the transcript of records of your Bachelor's degree programme;
- Copy of the Syllabuses of the courses you have already completed on your Bachelor's degree programme;
- Copy of your high school diploma;
- Copy of the English or Slovenian official translation of the above documents (not required if the documents are already issued in English);
- A short chronological description of your entire education (sample attached);
- Copy of your passport (EU candidates can submit their identity card instead).
We will send a request for verification of the electronic versions of the documents to the issuing institution.
Conditions
When transferring from another university is possible
Your courses can be recognised if at least one of the following conditions is met:
- The institution where you completed the course holds one of these international accreditations: EQUIS or AACSB or AMBA.
- The institution has a cooperation agreement with UL SEB.
- The course was completed at:
- another University of Ljubljana member,
- a comparable university based on international rankings.
Transfer and course recognition conditions
If you are transferring from another university, the Committee for Student Affairs will review your application and decide on the following:
- Which of your previously completed courses can be recognised.
- Whether you meet the admission requirements,.
- Which year of study you can enrol in (usually the 2nd year).
The Committee for Student Affairs will evaluate:
- The content compatibility between your previous courses and those at UL SEB.
- The level of difficulty of your previous study programme.
- the overlap in content, credit points, and number of hours.
A course will be fully recognised if it matches at least 75% of the UL SEB course in terms of:
- Content.
- Level of complexity.
- Number of contact hours or credit points.
ECTS Credit Recognition
- You can be awarded up to 90 ECTS for completed courses (compulsory and elective) from a related first-cycle programme.
- Only enrolment into the 2nd year is possible when transferring.
- To enrol in the 2nd year, at least 48 ECTS must be recognised.
