UL SEB Student Council
UL SEB Student Council
The Student Council of the UL SEB is the highest and only official representative body of students at the faculty. As a faculty body, it is defined by the Act on Higher Education (ZViS), the Statute of the University, the Rules of the Faculty of Economics and the Rules on the Operation of the Faculty of Economics of the Faculty of Economics and Business.
The Student Council of the UL SEB is a faculty student body that participates in committees or UL SEB committees to resolve issues from a specific area. The Student Council of the UL SEB has at least nine members, who are elected by UL SEB students from among themselves.
The main function of the Student Council is dealing with study issues and resolving problems within the study process.
The most important tasks of the Student Council
- providing opinions on the teaching performance of assistant, docent, and associate professors when they apply for election to teaching titles. The opinion of the students is not binding, but it is often taken into account if there are sound arguments;
- solving student problems related to the study process;
- co-financing the publication of internal student publications, proceedings;
- participation in all UL SEB events: information day, enrolment in the UL SEB, Fresher’s events, awarding of diplomas;
- cooperation with the Student Organisation of the UL SEB
- cooperation with other societies at the faculty;
- cooperation with faculty management and other entities;
- organising freshmen, round tables, academic evenings;
- providing tutoring to help and support students;
- consistent monitoring of the results of pedagogical surveys;
- appointment of members to faculty bodies and committees.
