Peter Trkman
PhD

I am a full professor at the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, specializing in digital transformation, business model innovation, supply chain management, business process management, and technology adoption. My research has been published in leading international journals such as Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Information Management, Journal of Business Logistics, and Long Range Planning. My work has received more than 11,000 citations, with an h-index of 40. Five of my articles on business analytics, business models, business process management, and supply chain risk management rank among the top 1% most cited papers on Scopus. I have been honored with several research awards and regularly serve as a reviewer for 45 (S)SCI-indexed journals, as well as an evaluator for ten European research funding agencies, assessing over 400 project proposals in the fields of business, management, information systems, and academia–industry collaboration. In my teaching, I strive to integrate rigorous theoretical foundations with practical, real-world applications, and my courses consistently receive well above-average evaluations from students. I was a visiting professor at universities in India, South Korea, Denmark, China, Dubai, Austria, Germany, Peru, and Colombia, gaining valuable cross-cultural academic perspectives. As a principal investigator, I have led numerous research and consulting projects, securing over €1 million in funding. In recent years, I have delivered multiple workshops on Generative Artificial Intelligence, combining my research expertise with the latest technological trends.
