Interorganizational Information Systems

Aims of the course

- Introduce students to modern forms of inter-organizational information systems (IOS) based on the concept of e-commerce business-to-business (B2B). To examine the IOS in terms of content and technology. To highlight the most important and most promising areas of application.
- Understand the importance and role of IOS in today's interconnected business and the technological possibilities for implementation.
- To acquire knowledge for participation in determination of the content, technology, design, implementation and deployment of such systems in practice.

2. Theoretical perspectives of interorganisational information systems
3. Technologies of interorganisational information systems
4. Different categories of interorganisational information systems
5. New organisational forms, such as virtual organisations, networked organisations, and electronic markets
6. Interorganisational information systems and supply chain management
7. Interorganisational information systems and risk management
8. Interorganisational information systems and competitive advantage
