Short project description
The project builds on the story of the successfully completed GETM3 project, focusing on the role of “entrepreneurial talent” in creating a better life in a VUCA world full of disruptions (e.g. pandemics, wars, energy crises, climate change), to which we must respond effectively and be better prepared. The aim of GETM4 is to identify the role that entrepreneurial talent can play (at the level of individuals, higher education, and companies) in seizing opportunities and addressing “wicked problems” (Rittel & Webber, 1973) caused by these disruptions. We will explore how this can be achieved in a responsible and sustainable way through international cooperation that enables the “respectful translation” of knowledge, skills, and resources, including how the “developed” world can learn from the “developing” world. We will seek to answer the question of how entrepreneurship, supported by cutting-edge digital innovation, can promote physical and mental well-being in a disrupted world. The topics included are derived from the researchers’ existing areas of research, such as sustainability, digitalisation, innovation, entrepreneurship, human capital development, health and well-being, Generation Y and Z, and gender equality. The project is designed across four dimensions (international, intersectoral, interdisciplinary, and intergenerational), and [GETM4] addresses four main stakeholder groups (individuals (students), educational institutions, companies and other organisations, and the wider community).
