Mode of study

Double Degree Programme
This programme offers a unique opportunity to obtain a double degree!
Double degrees in the Bank and Financial Management programme:
- BI Norwegian Business School, Norway
- Pforzheim University, Germany
- University of Vaasa, Finland
In a double degree programme, two university degrees are obtained in parallel at two internationally recognised institutions and completed in the time required for one degree.
Double degree programmes provide an excellent opportunity for students to gain both academic knowledge and intercultural experience. These programmes offer a broad education and require a high level of ambition, organisation, and commitment. Some programmes include internships, opening up opportunities in the international labour market. Additionally, tuition fees are waived at partner institutions (with the exception of the double degree programme with NOVA IMS).
Enrolment requirements and selection criteria
The following students can enrol in Year 1:
- Anyone who has completed a first-cycle study programme in relevant professional fields and has achieved at least 180 ECTS credits, or who has completed a pre-Bologna study programme to obtain a higher professional education in relevant professional fields;
- Anyone who has completed equivalent study programmes listed in the previous indent in other professional fields and has completed additional study obligations in the amount of 12 ECTS credits.
Additional study obligations can be completed by candidates during their studies at the 1st level, in advanced training programmes, or by taking exams in Microeconomics 1 (6 ECTS) and Introduction to Business (6 ECTS) before enrolment in the Master's degree programme.

Selection criteria in the event of a restriction of enrolment:
If enrolment capacity is limited, in accordance with Article 41 of the Higher Education Act, candidates will be selected on the basis of the average grade in the first-cycle study programme or bachelor study (70 %) and the grades in the type 2 and type 3 exams in the first-cycle study programme of the UL SEB (30 %).
