The IMB Programme hosted a delegation from the Chinese Embassy in Slovenia for an engaging dialogue with students, offering an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of China from the perspective of young Chinese diplomats.

We had an inspiring session featuring Dr. Jure Knez, entrepreneur, innovator, and co-founder of Dewesoft.

We had the privilege of meeting Ms Claudia M. Buch, Chair of the Supervisory Board of the European Central Bank, and Mr Dominique Laboureix, Chair of the Single Resolution Board. Their insights into the role of European banking supervision, the development of the Single Supervisory Mechanism, and the challenges facing supervisors in an increasingly complex risk environment provided an excellent perspective on the future of the European banking sector.

We were delighted to welcome Mr. Žiga Hieng, CEO of Salus, for an engaging discussion on leadership, business transformation, and the future of the pharmaceutical industry.

During the visit, students learned more about Kolektor Etra, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of power transformers. With nearly six decades of experience in highly specialized industrial production, the company has established a strong international presence through continuous innovation, diversification, and strategic growth.
