Course syllabus

1. The purpose of the course is to inform students about the most important concepts in international banking and stimulate them for individual study of the subject.
2. The course starts with the introductory information on the history of international banking and continues with the presentation of different banking systems around the world, structure and functions of the international banks and selected topics relevant for modern international banking (e.g. risk management in international banking, supervision and regulation, money laundering,...).
3. The course terminates with review of modern trends in international banking.
