Aims of the course

- To learn about the role of corporate entrepreneurship in restructuring of contemporary corporations.
- To study conditions and types of successful projects of corporate entrepreneurship.
- To identify methods for development of entrepreneurial culture in large enterprises.
- To study experiences with entrepreneurship in selected enterprises.
- To formulate a project of implementation of intrapreneurship in a selected enterprise.

Course syllabus

1. Definition and reasons for the development of corporate venturing.
2. Development of concepts of corporate venturing (intrapreneurship): Pinchot, Kanter, Drucker, Block & MacMillan, Peters
3. Creating a climate / environment for intrapreneurship in large companies: 3M
4. Identifying, evaluating and selecting business opportunities for intrapreneurship. Characteristics of successful intrapreneurs. Training for intrapreneurs
5. Organising the new venture. Locating the new venture, controlling the intrapreneurial projects.
6. Infrastructure for the promotion of intrapreneurship: technology transfer unit, incubators, venture capital funds. Sponsors and champions
7. Remuneration of intrapreneurs
