Aims of the course

The course focuses on regulation and supervision of financial institutions and markets. It defines the dimensions of financial regulation from the perspective of financial theory as well as from the practical and applicative point of view.

Course syllabus

Capital regulation, Basel II, liquidity regulation, supervision of financial institutions, regulation and supervision of cross-border financial institutions in EU, restructuring of instable financial institutions, deposit insurance schemes, regulation of financial markets, regulation of insurance industry, Solvency II.
