Tourism Economics and Tourism Policy

Aims of the course

- To repeat and upgrade the knowledge on tourism gained on the undergraduate level.
- To learn about the importance of tourism for the global, national and regional economy, and about the functioning of tourism market and the economic function of tourism.
- To acquaint students with basic theoretical approaches to assessing the economic impacts of tourism.
- To get to know the concept and cases of tourism policy.
- To develop an understanding of forms and instruments of touristic policy and their power.
- To develop the ability to design and apply the instruments of tourism policy in specific cases, while taking into account the limitations of the wider environment.
- To train students to apply theoretical knowledge on practical cases.
