Admissions Criteria

Candidates may enrol in the study programme if they meet the admissions criteria for specified study programme, published in the relevant Call for Enrolment.

University Degree Programme in Business and Economics

Admissions criteria for the University Degree Programme in Business and Economics are as follows:

a) a general matura certificate;

b) a vocational matura certificate from an appropriate upper secondary vocational education programme or technical education programme in economic technician or in computer technician and general matura subject Mathematics. If the candidate has already taken the subject Mathematics at the vocational matura, then another subject from general matura will be accepted: economics, informatics, foreign language (English, German, French, Italian, Spanish or Russian), psychology, computer science, sociology or history.

c) final examination certificate from an appropriate four-year upper secondary school programme completed before 1 June 1995.

In cases where available spots are limited:

candidates from item a) and item c) will be selected according to:

  • The results of general matura or secondary school final exams– 60% of the points,
  • GPA during your 3rd and 4th year of high school or trade school – 40% of the points.

candidates from item b) will be selected according to:

  • The results of vocational matura or secondary school final exams - 20% of the points,
  • GPA during your 3rd and 4th year of high school or trade school - 40% of the points,
  • The results of the general matura subject - 40% of the points.

For enrolment to this programme, the candidates are expected to know the language of the instruction at the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Application (that includes recognition and runs through eVŠ web portal) and admission procedure

for enrolment to the first year of undergraduate study programmes, for the first deadline, is managed and implemented centrally by the Application and Information Service of the University of Ljubljana (Visokošolska prijavno-informacijska služba Univerze v Ljubljani - VPIS UL) at Kongresni trg 12, p. p. 524, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Professional Degree Programme (BBA - Business Administration)

The Professional Degree Programme (BBA - Business Administration) is open to anyone having graduated from a four-year high school or trade school.

In cases where available spots are limited:

  • The results of high school or trade school final exams – 60% of the points,
  • GPA during your 3rd and 4th year of high school or trade school – 40% of the points.

For enrolment to this programme, the candidates are expected to know the language of the instruction at the B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
