Master of Science
Business Informatics is for students who want to understand how technology drives modern organisations. The programme combines IT and business skills, preparing you to work at the intersection of digital systems, data, and decision-making in companies and other organisations.
Digital skills for modern organisations
Students will acquire knowledge in the field of renewal of business processes and business models with the help of IT, business analytics, digitalisation, organisation and management of informatics, implementation of information projects, as well as broader business knowledge. We are constantly updating the programme, and during the latest redesign we placed more emphasis on business analytics and digital business and innovation, as there is a high demand for people with these skills in the current market.
A diverse and international learning environment
The Business Informatics programme enrols graduates from various faculties, with typically a third of students coming from the Faculty of Economics, a third from other programmes such as computer science, electrical engineering, and social informatics, and a third from abroad. This makes it possible to work in interdisciplinary and international teams.
Solve real business challenges
Most courses focus on project work, which allows students to apply the knowledge they have gained in their chosen companies. There is also a lot of practical work with modern business IT solutions and analytical tools. Students are encouraged to solve real-world business challenges in their master's thesis.
The programme is offered as full-time or part-time study. Part-time students are particularly encouraged to find topics for project assignments and master's theses in the companies where they are employed, which makes it easier to balance work and study.
