The 27th Portorož Business Conference (PKP), Slovenia’s leading annual business event, opened today in Portorož. For nearly three decades, the conference has brought together experts from industry, academia and economic policymaking to address key global and regional challenges. This year’s conference is held under the theme “Seize the Opportunity: Using High Technology to Enter Complex Global Markets,” reflecting the central focus of this year’s discussions.

We are proud to share that our IMB students, Petrisa Čanji Vouri and Jesus Amos Facundo, actively contributed to this year’s Hydrogen Ecosystem North Adriatic Conference, held in Nova Gorica.

The seriousness of the global fraud problem is why UL SEB announced that it will be participating in International Fraud Awareness Week, Nov. 16–22, 2025, as an official supporter to promote anti-fraud awareness and education. The movement, known commonly as Fraud Week, champions the need to proactively fight fraud and help safeguard business and investments from the growing fraud problem.

We are very proud to announce the visit of Prof. Dr. Adam Grant, one of the most influential thinkers of our time, a renowned organizational psychologist, professor at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and author of the international bestsellers Think Again, Originals, and Give and Take.

November brings shorter days, but also a fresh batch of books that have joined the CEK Library collection!

We recently hosted a »Lunch talk« with Ana Grošelj, alumna of the 28th Generation of the IMB Programme, moderated by Klimentina Chapovska from the current 33rd Generation.

As part of the Managerial Economics course, students attended an inspiring guest lecture delivered by Mr. Gorgi Petrusev, CEO and Board Member of Bimilk (Imlek Group). Mr. Petrusev shared valuable insights from his extensive professional experience in strategic growth, long-term business development, business transformation, and leadership.

The library will be closed from 31 October to 2 November for the autumn holidays, while the Study Areas CEK remain open daily from 6:00 to 24:00.

During the HRM course, we hosted a guest lecture by Dr. Marko Orel , an organizational sociologist and researcher at the Prague University of Economics and Business, where he leads the Centre for Workplace Research (CWER).
